Come and talk about what scares you and how you faced it down. We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker will be Phylise Banner, a recognized superhero and pioneer in the LX design space. Read more about Banner on her LX Design website and share in our excitement.

Our day will be both educational and fun. Grab your Zoom-friendly Halloween costume, play a few warmup games, and maybe even win a prize.

Join us in Zoom for our chapter year kick-off event! Meet other chapter members and hear about our plans for the upcoming year. To kick off the 2023-2024 chapter year, we invite you to network, celebrate award recipients, and speak directly with the STC WDCB Administrative Council. Get to know other chapter members and discuss what it's like for you as a technical communicator today. Meet STC Fellows and Associate Fellows and learn what they did to earn these distinctions.

If you are not yet a member of STC or our chapter, you are also invited. We can't wait to meet you!

We will discuss our upcoming events and opportunities for you to make your own mark on the chapter while connecting with STC Fellows and Associate Fellows.

If you've ever volunteered for us, please come so we can acknowledge your contribution. If you've benefitted from the efforts of those volunteers, whether by attending a program, workshop, webinar, please come and offer them your thanks for a job well done. Register for the event on Eventbrite.

Contribute your talent!

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to offer their talents to help us continue providing educational opportunities, events and networking opportunities for the chapter. By volunteering, you can network, share your talents, lend your support, develop transferable leadership talents, or carve a new path.

We currently are looking to fill positions on the chapter Administrative Council. If you are an STC member who thinks they can contribute in one of these positions, please reply to this email or reach out using our Volunteer sign-up form. We will also be happy to discuss opportunities at our kickoff event in October.

Click for a description of the role responsibilities.

We are also looking for a Program Coordinator / Events Associate Manager – Webinar Series to help us contact and arrange speakers for our MasterClass in TechComm speaker series. The specifics can be discussed with the current Council. You do not have to be an STC member to contribute to this role.

If you prefer a more behind-the-scenes opportunity, join us as a Website Team Deputy Manager. Help us keep the website up-to-date and get experience working with WordPress. You do not have to be an STC member to contribute.
