Welcome Back Celebration: Meet, Greet, & Awards

Celebrate another successful year with the STC Washington, DC – Baltimore Chapter and discuss the beginning of a new one!

This is your chance to meet and greet with chapter members and the new Administrative Council and learn about our plans for the 2022-2023 chapter year.

If you are not yet a member of STC or our chapter, you are also invited. We can't wait to meet you!

November First Friday Lunch

When: Friday, 4 November 2022 at 12PM ET

Fame time and same place as last month. Join your fellow DMV residents for conversation, a chance to network, and delicious pizza! The event will be held at Fire Works Pizza in Arlington, VA (Courthouse).

As usual, your EventBrite ticket is free, but your meal isn't. There are only a limited number of spots available, so get your ticket now! on the Eventbrite website.

STC Alliance Competition

Submit your entry for the STC Alliance Competition!

The Washington, DC ‐ Baltimore Chapter is one of the six STC chapters participating in the STC Alliance Competition, led by past chapter president, Carolyn Klinger. The competition's 33 volunteer judges are currently working in virtual teams of three or four to evaluate 31 entries. This is called the judging phase and will continue until December 10, when judges will select the Best of Show from all entries that earned Distinguished awards during the team consensus meetings. Entrants will start receiving notification of awards and the highly valued judging comments by mid-January 2023.

The current schedule for the competition is

  • Friday, 9 September 2022. – Deadline for Judge Applications 6:00 pm EDT
  • Friday, 19 January 2024, 6 p.m. Eastern Time – Deadline for Submission of Entries 6:00 pm EDT
  • – Judging Phase begins
  • – Selection of Best of Show
  • – Entrants begin to receive assessments and award notifications
