Contribute your talent!

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to offer their talents to help us continue providing educational opportunities, events and networking opportunities for the chapter. By volunteering, you can network, share your talents, lend your support, develop transferable leadership talents, or carve a new path.

We currently are looking to fill positions on the chapter Administrative Council. If you are an STC member who thinks they can contribute in one of these positions, please reply to this email or reach out via our Volunteer sign-up form.

Click for a description of the role responsibilities.

We are also looking for a Program Coordinator / Events Associate Manager – Webinar Series to help us contact and arrange speakers for our MasterClass in TechComm speaker series. The specifics can be discussed with the current Council. You do not have to be an STC member to contribute to this role.

If you prefer a more behind-the-scenes opportunity, join us as a Website Team Deputy Manager. Help us keep the website up-to-date and get experience working with WordPress. You do not have to be an STC member to contribute.

Win an STC Student/New Professional Membership!

We're excited to announce we are holding a contest!

The assignment is to write up to a one page, double-spaced 12 point Times New Roman paper about your professional goals/aspirations regarding the field of technical communication. Additionally, please write about how you could use your skills/expertise to support the STC WDCB within a volunteer capacity.

Please note that writing about how you could contribute to the chapter does not obligate you to do so. However, we do hope to have the opportunity to work with you.

Applicants should submit their documents to stcwdc-admin@groups.io. The STC WDCB Council will evaluate entries and award three Student/New Professional STC memberships in early 2023.
