The Washington, DC – Baltimore Chapter is proud to be hosting the STC technical communication conference, Summit 2017. Now's the time to start making your plans to attend on 7-10 May. The Summit will be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in picturesque National Harbor, MD, just minutes away from downtown Washington, DC and Alexandria, Virginia.

The Summit will combine world class technical communication education with a variety of networking events, making it the can't-miss conference for technical communicators. The 2017 Summit will focus on the theme "Gain the Edge to Get Results" and will help attendees achieve their personal best within the technical communication field.
Early-Bird Registration Begins 1 December
Registration and hotel rates for the conference are posted on the official summit website. Registration will open on 1 December with the super low early bird rate of only $895 for STC members. Registration includes access to all education sessions; the Opening and Closing Keynotes; Welcome Reception; Honors Reception; continental breakfast Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings; as well as morning and afternoon refreshment breaks.

Anyone is eligible to submit entries. You can be a student or a professional. You may enter work as an individual or on behalf of a colleague or member of your department. You do not have to be a member of STC.
As an extra incentive, the Washington, DC – Baltimore Chapter is hosting the 2017 Summit in National Harbor, Maryland. Distinguished winners of the STC International Summit Awards (ISA) will be on display in the exhibit hall. Here's the chance for ISA winners from the Washington, DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas to show your friends and family what great work you do. Bring your whole team to the conference or bring them for a day of roaming the exhibit hall to share the honors of winning an STC ISA award of Distinguished Technical Communication.
