New International Standard for Websites with Technical Information

PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
Under a joint development effort of IEEE and ISO/IEC, a completely revised standard (P23026) is being prepared for “Engineering and management of websites for systems, software, and services information.” The purpose is to improve the usability of informational websites and ease of maintenance of managed Web operations in terms of: a) locating relevant and timely information, b) applying information security management b) facilitating ease of use, d) providing for consistent and efficient development and maintenance practices.
SPEAKER
Annette Reilly, Ph.D., CSDP, CSEP, PMP, STC Fellow, IEEE Sr. Member and Computer Society Golden Core, is a proposal developer with 30 years of experience with Lockheed Martin in management and engineering for enterprise IT systems, programs, and proposals. Dr. Reilly is the convenor of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC7 WG2, Systems and software documentation.

While the food and networking will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m., the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. We will try to offer a remote option through Adobe Connect. Please register to receive the call-in information.
Parking at Bethesda library costs $1.00 per hour until 7 p.m., so you will not have to pay for long since our event starts at 6:30 p.m. Pay by cell phone or bring coins for the meters.
Bethesda is the closest Metro Station. Bear left at the top of the station’s escalator. Walk through the bus terminal and then straight ahead 2 blocks on Edgemoor Lane to the library.
