The restaurant is 0.3 miles, a 7-minute walk, from the Bethesda Metro station on the Red line. When you get to the top of the escalator, head north on Wisconsin Avenue. Turn left onto Old Georgetown Road. Make your third right onto Fairmont Avenue. The restaurant is on the right.
Parking Tips
Besides street parking, the best garage is the one in the Fairmont Building right across the street from the restaurant at 4975 Fairmont Aveneu. It is $5 for the night when you enter after 5 p.m. and it closes at 11 p.m.
The Woodmont Corner Garage is at 7739 Woodmont Avenue and is directly behind Positano, with entrances on Old Georgetown Road and Woodmont Avenue. However, this could be a complicated walk due to construction nearby. The cost is $0.80 per hour until 10 p.m. From the Woodmont Corner garage, walk out to Old Georgetown Road and turn right when you get to the sidewalk. Turn right onto Fairmont Ave and Positano is on the right.
