The rates for STC Classic membership and the Really Early Bird rate for the STC Summit have been extended through 15 January. Both were set to expire on 31 December.
Classic membership still costs just $195, a $30 discount over the regular $225 rate. Add a chapter and SIG and it's only $230. And the Really Early Bird rate of $825 for the Summit is $125 less than the Early Bird rate and $225 less than the regular Advance rate. So by renewing your STC membership and registering for the Summit by 15 January, you save a total of $155 over what you'd pay just one day later!

The 2013 Summit takes place 5–8 May 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. This year, all events take place in one location—at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in downtown Atlanta, within walking distance of many area attractions.
STC has negotiated a special conference room rate of $169 for a single or double and $179 for a triple or quad; you must register through the STC Summit website, http://summit.stc.org, to get that rate.
According to the hotel's website, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta boasts “true southern hospitality” in welcoming its guests. A recent $65-million upgrade included adding “new chic, studio-style rooms.” Nearby attractions include Peachtree Center Mall, Georgia Aquarium, Georgia World Congress Center, AmericasMart, CNN Center, Phillips Arena, and the Georgia Dome.
Dining and entertainment options at the hotel include the 24-hour self-serve Market; Sway, a unique restaurant featuring three chef-driven menus; and Twenty-Two Stories, a celebration of Atlanta’s past, present, and future.

Recognizing how the recession is affecting meetings for all associations, Hyatt Regency Atlanta has responded to STC’s request and has lowered the STC conference room rate from $174 to $159 for single or double accommodations. Individuals who have already reserved rooms for the Summit will automatically get the lower rate.
The early bird deadline for conference attendance has been extended to 21 April. The early bird discounted rate is $795, which is $300 less than the onsite registration rate of $1,095. Split payments are accepted.
