The STC Washington, DC chapter appreciates its members, who power our organization. Members know that now is the time to renew your membership. A token of our appreciation for your renewal, or new membership, is a $5 discount towards any event of ours you attend from February through June 2009. The catch is that you must attend the January 13 event (6-8:30 p.m.) to receive the discount.
On January 13, Joe Welinske, president of WritersUA and an internationally known speaker on user assistance, will present “Software User Assistance: The Latest Trends, Tools and Technologies” at the NRECA conference center in Ballston (a Metro-accessible location).
To receive the discount, at the registration desk at the January 13 event, show your STC membership card or the email STC sent you when you renewed or joined. You will receive a discount code by email that you can use when registering online for any future event through June. For more information about the discount, contact Carolyn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Events we plan to offer this spring include the competition awards banquet with keynote speaker Ginny Redish, a demonstration of MadCap Flare, a presentation about getting into information architecture, an interactive discussion about Wikinomics, and a volunteer appreciation luncheon.
To register for the January 13 event, click the Register link in the Cvent summary page. Download a PDF of the event description and registration information.
